WONDER WOMEN

Prior to my #quarterlifecrisis I wasn't always a good listener. I was actually quite the opposite. I was a know it all, and it took me a few years (post quarter life crisis) before I finally understood that I didn't "know it all" (shocker 🤣) and that, that is a perfectly okay place to be. ___ It was hard for me at first but now I can confidently ask for clarification whenever I feel like I've misunderstood something instead of nodding along for the sake of looking good; and instead of acting like I know it all, I can proudly admit whenever I feel like I'm stepping outside my area of expertise. #LetGOofEGO #trusttheprocess ___ When an expert says they don't know something I see that as a sign of intelligence and maturity. It allows an opportunity to listen to new information, be open-minded to possibility, and evaluate whether it's logical or illogical based on experience and most of all, facts. If it doesn't add up, viewpoints can be shared and if it does, then expansion occurs. ___ Thanks to this revelation I'm surrounded by wise women of all ages because I've learned how to support my tribe by listening to them, receiving their knowledge without judgement, and creating clear lines of communication with compassion. ___ With that said, I think we're all life long learners and I'm grateful to stand alongside women who are wise beyond their years.
