DEFINE ARTIST

I was resistant to the idea of labeling myself as an artist because I thought I didn't deserve it. Plain and simple. ___ I thought being an artist meant that I had to put something on a piece of canvas; to paint something that makes others feel my emotion. I had a very limited definition of the word artist until today when I realized... I am an artist. ___ Whether I'm looking up at a canopy of leaves or crafting a story in my mind, my creativity takes over and it sparks a light within me. And this community is proof- when I share my thoughts and you've taken the time to write me a message to let me know that it helped you... my heart feels whole. Thank you. ___ So remember, if you've veered away from the word artist like I have, get in alignment with it and honor your inner artist. Acknowledge the creative parts of you, and you'll feel at home again. #happyearthday
