I never lose. I either win or learn. - Nelson Mandela
___
A lot of people ask me for my opinion on fear, and to be perfectly honest... new things will always be scary... until they aren't.
___
My friends think I'm "fearless" because I tend to make decisions that may not work out in my favor... and the only way for me to find out if its a good idea or not, is to try.
___
To give you some perspective, this mindset started when I was 17. I told my parents I wanted to take a year off to travel the world before college in order to figure out "what I want to major in at school" but they didn't buy it. They sent me to university which led to a Masters degree, a 9-5 job and a pension plan.
___
When I hit my quarter life crisis at 25, I got off of the corporate ladder (permanently) and decided to find myself through food and travel. Since then I've relocated across the Atlantic as well as the Pacific, turned down shiny contracts, and rewired my brain to adapt to new cultures wherever I landed.
___
I've had my fair share of wins and opportunities (which is just a subtle way of saying "failures") however, every opportunity was a huge lesson, especially my fails, because it shaped me into the person I am today.
___
I learned what I liked, what I don't like, what I'll tolerate, what I'll stand up for, what I need, what's excessive, who I enjoy being around, what's important to me, what I'm capable of, etc. I started to understand my life's purpose when I started to answer these questions.

___
To be clear, learning does not require "extreme choices" (even if it is my preferred method) 🤣 Learning occurs in every moment. The only thing I "need" to do is continue listening to my heart and choosing what's best for me instead of seeking validation or opinions from others based on societies expectations.
___
So I hope you choose to do the same because your heart wants to be heard. ❤
